Wake Forest Demon Deacons Football to host Nigel Harris

Three-star Tampa linebacker Nigel Harris will be taking his final official visit next weekend, and the prospect who is high on the Pittsburgh Panthers and USF Bulls will be visiting the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Those three teams are clearly the most likely landing spots for Harris, who is rated by most publications as one of the top 100 recruits in the state of Florida.

Pittsburgh has not received an official trip from Harris, but Pitt might be the team highest on Harris’s list. My recruiting prediction at this moment in time is USF, because the Bulls are right in his city and have recruited him hard every step of the way. Harris has naturally visited the Bulls more than any other school with a junior day trip, an unofficial visit in late September, and an official visit this weekend.

That gives Harris back-to-back weekends of big official visits where he will need to heavily weigh in his decision. Pitt has done a solid job of recruiting Harris during the late fall and early winter, but the loss of Dave Huxtable does hurt the Panthers in their effort to land the top 50 OLB.

Nigel Harris is a solid three-star prospect with plenty of speed for the position (4.5 forty time). He is 6’2″, 200 pounds, and Wake Forest is going hard after these solid three-star OLBs in the talent-rich areas of Florida. The Deacs have already nabbed a recent commitment from Michael Stevenson, a three-star safety in the Tampa Bay area (Clearwater).

Purdue, Vanderbilt, Indiana, and Arizona have offered Harris as well.
