UNCG athletic director Kim Record confirmed that the two athletic departments are under serious talks about a series that could be on next year’s schedule.

While UNC-Greensboro has played nearly fifty games against the current ACC line-up, they have never had a chance to play the Tar Heels.

The schools are currently working on the details of the agreement, specifically the dates and locations. The schools want the series to start next season, and believe the series will more than likely start in Chapel Hill before heading over to Greensboro.

UNC-Greensboro has a home-and-home series scheduled for next season with the NC State Wolfpack. As for the UNC/UNCG series, it seems that it’s all done except for a final signature on paper.

The schools are focused on establishing a series that will bring fans of both schools to the game. The good news for UNCG is that when they hosted Duke i 2010, they had a crowd of over 22,000 fans.
