Wolfpack Cruise Past Norfolk State, 84-62

The #25 North Carolina State Wolfpack stayed in Raleigh this weekend to play host for the 6-6 Norfolk State Spartans.

Richard Howell put up an awesome defensive game tonight against the Spartans with 19 rebounds and 16 of those being defensive rebounds. He also had 12 points, 5 assists, a steal, and 5 blocks.

Freshman TJ Warren put up nice numbers for the Wolfpack coming off of the bench with 21 points, 5 rebounds, an assist, and two steals in 28 minutes played.

For the Spartans, Malcolm Hawkins put up 16 points, 4 rebounds, an assist and a steal tonight. Gaston came off of the bench and put up 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

Defensively, nobody from Norfolk State could really keep up with the Wolfpack and Lorenzo Brown really gave the Spartan defense some troubles.

North Carolina State is now undefeated at 29-0 against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference teams. It was a good matchup for the Wolfpack after a week off for final exams to get back into the swing and routine of basketball. They will host the Stanford Cardinals on Tuesday night in the PNC Arena.
