University of North Carolina’s explosive offense will more than likely be losing a key member. Rumors are running rapid that Giovanni Bernard will be making his decision on whether or not to enter the 2013 National Football League Draft.

While Tar Heels fans would love to see Bernard return, it really looks doubtful that he will be in a Carolina blue uniform again.

Bernard is third on the AP All-American roster, was narrowly edged for ACC Player of the year, and was at one point a Heisman contender among other honors.

Bernard has made quite an impact this season including one of the most stunning plays that saw Bernard run a kick off back for a touchdown with just seconds left remaining on the clock.

Draftinsider.net is reporting that the very popular Bernard will be offering his services in next year’s draft.

Bernard will join Alabama’s Eddie Lacy as the two most talented running backs in the draft. I feel personally that Lacy’s decision is premature, but Bernard definitely has the talent to leave early.

Bernard is expected to be the highest draft running back by many sources and mock drafts as well.

In 2012 he had 1,228 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns. In receiving he also caught 47 passes for 490 yards and five touchdowns.
