2014 point guard JaQuel Richmond is regarded as one of the top 100 best recruits in the country, and he is currently on an unofficial visit to the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus after being visited by coaches from Ohio State and the Indiana Hoosiers about five days ago.

Richmond was a previous target of the Duke Blue Devils after visiting Durham on New Year’s Day after visiting Georgetown, but it looks like he is no longer a target for Mike Krzyzewski. The N.C. State Wolfpack have also been heavily recruiting Richmond, and he was visited by a coach from N.C. State in September.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are especially pressing hard for Richmond’s services, and it looks like Jeff Bzdelik has made him his top point guard target in this class. The High Point, North Carolina native likes the way Bzdelik deals with point guards, and his parents also like the Wake Forest head man.

Wake Forest, N.C. State, Charlotte, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Houston, Georgetown, Texas A&M, and Virginia have also offered the top five North Carolina recruit.

Ohio State has yet to offer Richmond, but that could all change this weekend.

Clemson, Maryland, Syracuse, and VCU have also shown interest in the 6’1″, 170 pound PG. N.C. State, Wake Forest, Texas A&M, and Tennessee are pushing hard early on for the four-star, top 15 PG.
